All-Ireland semi-final games can be difficult encounters and last Sunday Mayo eventually got over the line to book its place in the final for the first time since 2013. The surprise team of the 2016 championship Tipperary certainly are a team for the future where they never gave up as Mayo's bank of experience did enough to see them through. The O'Connor brothers Cillian & Diarmuid added 0-5 to the 2-13 score as both had to work hard with the massive experience of Alan Dillon proving crucial towards the closing moments. The performance will not be good enough to beat either Dublin or Kerry but one feels that this Mayo team have been just doing enough to get to the biggest day on the G.A.A. calendar September 18th. Well done boys !
